James W. Fetterhoff operates Midway Supermarket on Forest Drive in Hegins during much of the week. But during the summer months he becomes "Captain Jim."

For more than a decade, Jim has been fishing Lake Ontario waters and recently began his latest venture as a fishing guide and boat captain for Midway Charters Inc., near Pulaski, NY.

The Midway is Jim's 30-foot Penn Yan boat, loaded with the latest electronics and fishing gear. Jim caught "Salmon Fever," a condition that affects many, but not usually this badly. He enjoys fishing so much that he decided to turn his passion into another business venture. Plus, on the weekends he is always guaranteed to have a fishing buddy.

Jim Fetterhoff is raising his own family. He and his wife Mary Ann have seven children—Brian, Andrew, Lauren, Dillon, Matthew, Jamie and James Jr.—who may someday see the businesses passed on to them. Jim's sisters, Ellen and Nancy and their families offer their support.
